Our Version of The Advent Project

This was done with an envelope template made with my Cricuit, some tags, Christmas bling and ribbon. But the most important ingredient: Memories!

Each day we do an activity, read the scripture

and of course I must take a picture to keep each

memory alive! We are having so much fun with

it!

Christmas Advent Calendar Idea

This is my choice for our Advent Calendar this year.
But I plan to put my own twist on it with daily bible scriptures as well as a daily surprise and lots and lots of color and ribbons.

I also like the idea of placing a pic after each activity on the backside of each page.....voila' an amazing keepsake for the Christmas Season!

LET'S SEE HOW PRETTY MY VERSION WILL BE.......

It's Beginning to Look Like Thanksgiving

And I am excited to spend it with family and friends. Warm food and the family football game will make it complete. While as it comes to an end we will all find ourselves yearning for next year's family celebration. My hope is that alllllllllllll through the year we will remember to give thanks to the Great I Am, The Giver Of All Things Good, The Lord of Lords, The King of Kings!

Candy Night was a Treat

We had been working on Meggie's costume for some time and finally pulled it together. However, Gabe did not want to be so creative so he was Woopie Cushion Man once again. Nolan and his Mommy met us at the mall in search of some goodies but little did we know they would be almost out of candy by the time we got there. So the race was on to get back to the neighborhood in search of yet MORE goodies. SUCCESS! So it took some time to blog this but here it is and as I did decide to make it an easy night by bringing the cell phone for pics and I enjoyed the "no stress" of dragging the "big girl camera" I do have regrets.....Hence the low resolution ....Oh, well....the memories are still preserved. We just wont be doing this again, especially in low light!
